In Japan, this is often the case for our projects. At the beginning, no one move into the house, and it may not necessarily go to the cloud. When there are residents later they can choose whether to go to the cloud or not.
Therefore, in this case, it is difficult for us to determine whether to go to the cloud at the beginning, and we cannot configure in advance. And the current configuration of the cloud is a bit complicated. I would like to ask if you have a similar situation and do you have any good solutions.
First of all, it may be more logical to persuade them to install a cloud. Because after installing the cloud, it may be necessary to reset the device to be online. In this case, the configurations are reset. My suggestion is whether there is a cloud or not, it should be determined from the beginning.
Log into the device web page in a browser, Network → Advanced, set Connect Mode to "Cloud", by default it would be on either "None" or "SDMC". By changing it to cloud it will then be able to go online once an internet connection is established to the device.
