As it is known, the R49 device has a camera and the camera can be turned off if desired.
In some projects, the security is located at the entrance of the site/building and the guest who comes to the door has to talk with the security first. The security finds out which apartment the guest came for to the door and calls that tenant and asks for confirmation. Tenants prefers to see the guest who comes to the door instead of seeing the security guard in this call. The solution that I am going to tell you today will be germane to this issue.
By installing a external camera to the type-c input of the R49 device, we can choose to use this external camera's wiev in the call. Classic USB cameras can also be used here, you just need a usb to typec converter.
When we install external camera in such a way that it will be visible from the security, tenants will see the wiev of the incoming guest and, if they approves, the personnel in security open door over R49 for guest.
In order to set up the intercom system in this way, the R49G device must have the 933.30.1.203 firmware. Through this fw version the R49 can share the USB camera view installed to it during a call to the indoor monitor.
In summary, it is the R49G device that sends trigger to the door here, the USB camera that sends the guest's view to the indoor monitor via the R49 device and the tenant who gives the guest's entrance approval to the building.
