R29 SIP speed dial not working

R29 SIP speed dial not working

I want to speed dial a sip number, but after pressing the dial button it just freezes. There are no errors and the call log just displays that a call was made. When using the same sip server and sip number on a random softphone app on my phone, it works fine. Also tried on another intercom from Paxton and also works fine.

Configuration:

Account 1: sip.telnyx.eu port 5060

Speed dial number as entered in the web ui: "sip:demointercom@sip.vapi.ai'

    Hi Thomas,

You can enter the speed dial number as "demointercom" or "demointercom/1" to use Account1.
There is no need for the sip prefix.

How do I call a sip number which is in a different sip domain compared to my provider? If my SIP account is sip.demo.com then how do I call jeff@sip.otherlocaiton.com? Similar to what I would be able to do with a soft phone app?

this would only work if 'demointercom' is running on the same sip server, I presume?

I believe it would be demointercom@sip.vapi.ai or demointercom@sip.vapi.ai/1

I have done a SIP setup where the user domain was different to the server domain but it was awhile ago - definitely worked though.

some sip servers only accept calls from devices using a caller id in the +E.164 format. I wonder if this is the issue.

Still not working. If I use your suggestion as speed dial number, then in the call log I see something strange; check the screenshot below.

Check this log screenshot. It looks like the device is trying to append the speedial sip number to the sip server account 1, but because the speedial sip number is in a different domain this will not work.

    Try these settings:
