What is the "Discovery Mode"

Hello everyone.

I will explain what the discovery mode in Akuvox indoor andoutdoor units does.

When Discovery mode is active, it automatically detectsdevices connected to the same network. They appear automatically in thedevice's directory. To activate this feature, go to Network => Advanced andactivate discovery mode.

I have not used the discovery much yet really, whats the purpose of the "Device Address" and " Device Extension". and how would discovery mode work in a multi dwelling building, when you want each apartment to see the front door but not see other apartment monitors?

Hi Ryan,

If the firmware version of the devices is up to date and the discovery mode is on, they can see each other in the directory of all devices. I don't recommend too much. The phone book gets messy. But it is useful in villa projects. Because all devices belong to one person.
