Set Up Akuvox R29 Package Room Notification

This step-by-step guide will walk you through configuring the Package Room Notification feature for Akuvox R29 door phones. Once set up, delivery staff can log package drop-offs on the R29, and residents will receive real-time delivery alerts directly via the Akuvox Smartplus App.

Important Note: This feature is only supported on the Akuvox R29 door phone and requires connection to Akuvox Cloud (for community projects).

Step 1: Configure Akuvox Cloud (2 Accounts Required)

Before enabling the package room feature, you need to set up relevant parameters on both the installer and the property manager cloud platform.


Part 1: Installer Account Setup


1. Log in to the Akuvox Cloud platform with an installer account. Click New to add a new community.


2. In Feature Plan, select Premium, which contains the Package Room feature.



Part 2: Property Manager Account Setup

1. Log in to the Akuvox Cloud platform with the property manager account linked to the corresponding community.

2. Click Visitor & Staff > Delivery Auth. Click New to set up the delivery PIN.




3. Enter the desired name and PIN code, and select the desired accessible floors.

4. Select the access group generated by the system automatically or create a new one.



5. Click Submit to save the configuration.


Step 2: Enable the Feature on Akuvox R29 Device (Web Interface)

After the configuration on the cloud platform is done, the package room feature needs to be enabled on the device web interface.


1. Use the device IP to log in to its web interface. The initial username and password are admin.

2. Navigate to Intercom > Key/Display > Delivery Setting of Building Theme. Select Enabled to turn on the feature.



Note
On the Key/Display interface, the following two extra actions need to be done before using Package Room feature.

1. Select Building in the Theme box.


2. Scroll down to Key in Homepage of The Building Theme, select Delivery in Type box to display the Delivery icon on the device home screen.


3. Click Submit.


Step 3: How Delivery Staff Sends Package Notifications (R29 Operation)

After the above configuration is done, the deliveryman can take the following steps to send a notification.


1. Press Delivery on the device screen. Enter the PIN code we have set up on the property manager cloud platform.





2. Press the desired apartment and resident.


3. Enter the number of packages and press Done. It will appear "Notification has been sent," and the door will be opened so that the deliveryman can put the packages in the package room.




On the Smartplus App, the resident will receive the notification.
